The game between Dronavalli and Yildiz was an equal game until the Turkish youngster blundered with Nd7 which allows the tactical shot 23.Bh7 Kf8 (23..Kh8 24.Nf7#) 24.Nf7 is possible since capturing the knight leads to mate in a couple of moves after Qg6. After the Indian prodigy missed this opportunity and in the end the game ended as a draw which meant the first half point for the Turkish player from ?zmir.

Atal?k-Javakhsihvili game ended as a draw since after the exchange of queens there is not much chance for winning for either side. Interesting remark about this game is that both sides spent some considereable amount of time in the very first moves of the game but then when the position became more regular, everything became normal again.
